Warm weather is here and it’s time to ring it in with some of the blogosphere’s best refreshing spring cocktails!
Here in Georgia, it’s already starting to get pretty warm (sorry to my northern friends). My house doesn’t heat very well since it’s built to withstand higher temperatures, so it gets chilly inside even when it’s warm outside. I don’t mind winter, but I hate a cold house. So now that it’s in the 60’s and 70’s, my windows are open all the time. It’s wonderful! My cats are pretty thrilled, too. 😛
Warm weather also means I’m doing a good bit of yard work…which it turns out, I’m awful at. My flowers have already died and it’s only been 2 weeks. Regardless, there’s nothing like digging in the dirt and working up a sweat to make you look forward to a nice, cool drink.
So to help get us all a little inspired by the nice outdoor weather, I’ve collected a bunch of spring cocktails for us all to enjoy this year!
30 Refreshing Spring Cocktails You Need to Try
1. Lemon Mint Pineapple Mimosas
This is such a refreshing drink! Lemon and mint are decent enough, but the pineapple really pushed it over the edge. Women’s Day was a fan, as well. 🙂
2. Raspberry Limoncello
Love a good limoncello! And this is so simple!
3. Mimosa Cocktail
Honestly, who doesn’t love a good mimosa?
4. Hurricane Cocktail
It’s been YEARS since I had a hurricane! Never made one myself, though. Have to try this!
5. Strawberry Kiwi Sangria
I remember when I was a kid and “strawberry kiwi” was really trendy. I don’t see it around much these days (now it’s all about lemons and lavender). Still just as tasty as ever, though!
6. Campari and Ruby Grapefruit
I’m not usually the biggest fan of grapefruit, but this sounded really good!
7. Lazy Margarita Tequila Shots
I don’t care what they say–you’re never too old for shots. They’re just too easy. 😛 These are my dad and sister’s favorite, and for good reason!
8. Double Watermelon Vodka Lemonade Cocktail
Look at those colors! Anything that bright has to be tasty. 😛 And watermelon lemonade? Um…YES!
9. Cherry Limeade Vodka Cocktail
Cherry limeade for adults! Gotta love an easy cocktail, too.
10. Kumquat Whiskey Sour
I’ve only ever had whiskey sours with lemon, so this sounds pretty interesting. Whiskey sours are my favorite, though, so I’m sure it’ll be a hit!
11. Peach Lemonade Vodka Martini
Mixing lemonade with other flavors is all the rage, apparently. So try it with peach! And the Deep Eddy vodka is the best I’ve ever had. You can’t beat the taste of real fruit. (Probably why Smirnoff is trying to copy them! :P)
12. Mai Tai Cocktail
Would you believe I’ve never had a mai tai? Don’t know how that happened, but it’s true! Have to give one a try with this recipe.
13. Sweet Orange Sangria
Turns out you can still have a pretty great sangria with just oranges. This is AWESOME! Always sad to see an empty pitcher.
14. Melon Ball Punch Recipe
Honestly, I added this because it looks pretty. But then I read it and now I really want to try it! Tell me this wouldn’t impress some party guests.
15. Strawberry Lemonade Bourbon Cocktail
Always on the hunt for what I can mix bourbon with next. Strawberry lemonade was a HUGE winner!
16. Cheater Margarita Smoothies
I’m usually too lazy to turn my margaritas into smoothies, but this looks awesome! Also…it’s blueberry limeade. Intriguing.
17. Peach Cobbler Martini
Love peaches, love peach cobbler. Enough said.
18. Strawberry Pretzel Whiptini
Pretzel!? I’ve been dying to try the Whipped vodkas and haven’t had a chance. Looks like this is my excuse! But seriously…PRETZEL!? I’m so excited for this.
19. Ruby Slipper Cocktail
Looks like a Christmas cocktail? Sure. But who doesn’t need a pop of red in the spring?
20. Nuts and Berries Cocktail
OK, to be fair…this is an all-season cocktail. Definitely one of Zach’s favorites, though. He’s been making this since college and has zero regrets.
21. Honey Citrus Cocktail
I have never considered adding honey to a cocktail before. Honey bourbon, sure, but never honey. This sounds so light and refreshing. Must try!
22. Whiskey Sour Party Punch
For those of you who don’t plan on ringing in this nice spring weather alone, give this whiskey sour party punch a shot! Punch is a cheap and simple way to make sure your whole group is covered.
23. Blueberry Breeze Cooler
I have never had blueberry vodka. Definitely something that I need to try!
24. Easy Margarita Recipe
Standard, but you seriously can’t go wrong with margaritas. I’d go for a strawberry one right about now.
25. Morning Paradise
Did Mom on the Side just give me an excuse to drink in the morning? I THINK SHE DID! 😀 Seriously, though, this is a pretty cool idea for those Dasani drops. I would have never considered adding them to a mixed drink.
26. Blue Caterpillar Cocktail
Inspired by Alice and Wonderland, this cocktail uses rum and pineapple juice. Which is a recipe for success every time. 😛
27. Ginger Mint Carrot Cooler
I honestly haven’t tried this, but it sounds super weird. Which is pretty much why it’s on the list–someone try this and tell me how it is! I actually really want to. I’m not big on ginger, but it might be pretty good with the carrot.
28. Lemonade Beermosas
Beer cocktails could NOT be easier to make. This one with lemonade is so good!
29. Sour Apple Mint Cocktail
I would have never thought to add mint to apple. I’m DYING to give this cocktail a shot! Though I think I’ll use mint leaves instead of candy.
30. Blueberry Lavender Lemon Drop Martini
Mixing blueberry and lavender was pretty trendy a while back (and mixing anything with lemon always is), so I jumped right on board with this martini. It was SO good. Basically, anything with lemon is wonderful in my book. 😛
31. Triple Watermelon Martinis
A little more complicated because of the pureed watermelon. But if you’re OK with buying precut chunks, that will take a lot of the work out of it. Also, watermelon schnapps is AMAZING. They taste like candy. 😛
